My Favorite Book
Although I never really liked reading, I found one book that I really seemed to enjoy. The crazy and imaginative book, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, seemed to be one of the few books that I have actually wanted to read. To me, this book is just a silly story that really doesn't have any conflict or story line whatsoever, but I still found it to be fun and a worth while read. It is one book in a five book series, about nothing. It has characters and certain aspects about it that can still make it a story, but it really has no conflict so there can't be that much to it. Nonetheless, I put this book at the top of my list for many reasons. This book has humor, spunk, twists, and a greatly imaginative setting. It follows a human man named Arthur Dent, who is rescued by his odd alien friend Ford right before the Earth is demolished to make way for an interplanetary highway. He finds out that Ford is not only an alien, but a hitchhiking one from a extinct race. They travel together throughout the Universe meeting many strange creatures and people along the way. This book holds the answer to life, the Universe, and everything we have ever wanted to know. I recommend this book to anyone, and give it a 10/10.
